This comprehensive 5-day course is designed to equip educators with the knowledge and practical strategies to effectively integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into their teaching and learning environments. Participants will explore the societal and educational landscape that shapes the integration of AI, gaining insights into the impact of AI on professional and personal life.

The course will delve into the diverse impact of AI on education, navigating the challenges and opportunities that arise from this rapidly evolving technology. Participants will gain practical insights into the effective integration of AI tools in teaching and learning environments, fostering a deeper understanding of AI-enhanced possibilities in popular ICT tools and the ChatGPT phenomenon.

Emphasis will be placed on facilitating discussions on concrete ways to use AI to empower and enhance the learning process. Participants will engage in collaborative reflections on the ethical considerations and responsible use of AI, exploring strategies for fostering a mindful and inclusive AI-powered educational environment.

The course will provide hands-on experiences with AI tools and models, including machine learning, prompt engineering, and advanced features of ChatGPT. Participants will learn how to design effective prompts, leverage AI for interactive learning experiences, and create powerful multimedia content and interactive boards using AI-generated images and other resources.

Additionally, the course will explore the use of AI for formative assessment and feedback, empowering educators to provide personalized and timely support to their students. Participants will also delve into the risks, limits, and ethical considerations surrounding AI applications, ensuring a responsible and safe integration of these technologies in educational settings.

To enhance the learning experience and provide a cultural context, the course will incorporate a guided visit to a local museum, heritage site, or eco-conscious initiative. This visit will allow participants to explore the cultural richness of the area, draw inspiration from sustainable practices, and gain insights into incorporating inclusive and green dimensions into their AI-powered educational strategies.

The classes typically run from 9 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon, with the afternoon and evening reserved for self-reflection and individual study. However, the course schedule may be adjusted to accommodate the preferences of the participants and the availability of instructors or external learning locations. Participants will receive the finalized schedule well in advance, allowing ample time for preparation and planning.

  • 400 euro per participant (covered entirely by the Erasmus grant)
